There's nothing to compare with the breeze in your hair and the spray in your face as a boat ferries you to your destination in Bangkok. Board an express boat bound for the Grand Palace or charter a longtail and meander up the canals north of the city and you will soon see why Bangkok was once called "Venice of the East." As luck would have it, most of Bangkok's major attractions lie along the river, making it not only easy to get around but a pleasure besides.
